I've been here a few times for drinks but I really love coming for karaoke night on Tuesdays. Such a great atmosphere here!

We recently hosted a dinner party at Grasshopper off the Green and the event couldn’t have been better! We were in the private room in the basement which was perfect for our occasion. The food , drinks and service were wonderful - a special shout-out to Pauly. Eilish was fantastic to deal with - very accommodating and flexible to my requests. Together we arrived at a menu exactly what I was looking for and suited to the event and our guests, any special dietary needs, etc. The table looked lovely, and was even decorated with a table runner and a personalized menu which Eilish prepared and printed out for our guests. And everything was well within our set budget! No surprises or disappointments. I would highly recommend Grasshopper for a private event, or the regular restaurant upstairs (we also ate lunch in the restaurant another day and the food and service were great).

We ordered the fish and chips and they were absolutely delicious. We also tried a chicken platter with a spicy sauce, and while the chicken texture was not quite what we expected, the service truly stood out. Our server was incredibly kind and immediately removed it from the bill without any hesitation. That level of care and professionalism made the experience excellent overall.

Very nice place. Friendly workers. They accommodated our reservation for 9 this past Saturday night perfectly. The food was amazing as well. We definitely plan on going back there.

I think some of our lackluster experience was probably the result of going between lunch and dinner (2:30ish) so perhaps the pub wasn't fully staffed. That said, it wasn't 100% clear who our waiter was and we ended up bringing our bill up to the bar just to make sure we eventually got out of there. The decor and the beers were lovely and there was plenty of beers to chose from. But the food left a lot to be desired. There are never too many veggie options at an Irish pub, I went with nachos since it was 1 of three-ish non salad options (the others being veggie quesadillas and a veggie burger). The nachos met the bare minimum description written on the menu. That's about the nicest thing I can say about them. If you're coming here for beers or to watch the game sans food I imagine it's much more satisfying. Update: I can't figure out how to reply to the reply without updating my review. In any case, that's nice of the owner to reply to my review. But I just called the restaurant and was told there was no one who could take my call and could I call back tomorrow...
